If you are not familiar with onOne Software, they produce great plug-ins for image editing software. I mainly use them with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Recently three new preset packs have been announced by onOne Software for Lightroom 4. These are to be used in Lightroom 4's Develop module. Since I just completed a review of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4, I wanted to review these as well. The three I will review are: Brian Matiash's New York City Stories Presets for Lightroom 4, Nicole S. Young's Film Presets for Lightroom 4 and Nicole S. Young's Black and White Presets for Lightroom 4. In the future onOne Software plans to provide more add-on content for Lightroom 4 including templates for the new Book module in. As it is, I can access onOne Software's Perfect Photo Suite 6 from within Lightroom 4 through File>Plug-In Extras.

What is so nice about working with all presets in Lightroom 4 is that you can modify them. If you look at the panels on the right when you access any preset, you will see how the settings will be changed. I am just showing one of the setting in a right panel of the Develop module. The headings represent two different presets in this new collection from onOne Software.

There are a number of presets in each pack. The different presets are as follows:

To demonstrate the presets. I took different images and applied some of the presets to them. The first shows a few from Brian Matiash's New York City Stories Presets for Lightroom 4 collection.

The next set is from Nicole S. Young's Film Presets for Lightroom 4.

The last is also from Nicole S. Young and it is her Black and White Presets for Lightroom 4.

This should give you an idea of how some of the presets look in their default state. In addition, you can modify them and save them.

You can purchase the preset packs from the onOne Software's Marketplace for $9.95 per group. Go to onOne Software and learn how to integrate their other plug-ins into Lightroom 4. If you are not familiar with onOne Software's products, I have reviews of a number of them on my website including Perfect Photo Suite 6.
